V8 Dirt Modifieds returned to Murray Bridge's Riverview Speedway last saturday night (26th Feb) with former Victorian resident Tim Goss claiming his first feature victory.

With a quality field of eight cars on hand Cory Hodgson took out what was to be the only heat race for the night, with Glenn Goonan just taking second ahead of a fast finishing Cory Read.

Due to time constraints the decision was made to cancel the second heat and run the feature in its place, with the cars inverted on the grid from their previous finishing position. Beau Seidel and Dave Hately shared the front row and lead the pack into the first turn, the cars behind started to sort themselves out with Goss moving quickly into second before a spin by Les Baker brought on the yellow light with only a handful of laps completed. Goss took the lead soon after the restart but Goonan and Hodgson had also moved up through the field and into second and third respectively. Goonan soon closed up on Goss and with only a couple to go assumed the lead, but Goss was determined and took back the lead, just holding on to win.
